How to Play

Play Fruit Flip Mahjongg online for free. Fruit Flip Mahjongg is a timed 25-stage fruit matching Mahjong Solitaire game where each stone must be matched twice. Clear each stage before the timer runs out to beat the level & finish quickly to maximize your score. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button on the right side of the welcome screen to start the game.
Underneath the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for social media sharing and reading game developer information.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select an open stone & select another identically matching stone.
  - On the first match stones will flip over & on the second match they will be removed from the board.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the screen with a finger to select open matching stones to pair them off.
    - Controls & indicators
      - At the top of the right column there are buttons for sound control and music control.
      - Under those buttons are indicators for current level number, cumulative game score, and remaining level time.
      - At the bottom of the right column there are 4 buttons to pause the game, take a hint, shuffle tiles & shift to full screen mode.
      - Game Play
        Stone matching
        Open stones
        You can only match open stones.
        Open stones are stones which do not have another stone on top of them and at least one side (left or right) is free of other stones.
        Stones can appear with either a green or yellow background, depending on if they haven’t been matched or have been matched once already.
        Open stones have a lighter hue background, whereas closed stones would have a darker grayish green background color.
        You can only select open stones & they have a yellow border highlight when you select them.
        Identical matches
        In this game you must match identical tiles.
        The tiles must show the same fruit type and the same quantity of that type of fruit.
        The only thing that can be different is the tile background color. You can match fruits if the stone background color is green or yellow.
        If no identical matches remain then the game will automatically shuffle the remaining stones.
        This means there is at least one match left available or else the board would have shuffled the stones.
        Double matching
        In most Mahjongg Solitaire games you need to match each stone only once to remove it from the board.
        In this game there is a “flip” feature, where the first time you match a stone it flips over (turning green to yellow) and the second time you match a stone it disappears from the playing field.
        Levels
        This game has 25 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
        Each board has a unique layout, but all levels have the same 8-minute time limit each.
        You can’t replay previously beat levels without restarting the game at the first level.
        You beat levels by clearing all stones before the timer runs out.
        If the only remaining stones are all in a single column then the level is still considered beat even if you did not clear all stones.
        Scoring
        Your game score is cumulative across levels.
        Scoring points
        You score 100 points each time you match a pair of stones (both on the first match of each stone, and on the second match which removes the stone).
        Each second you have remaining when you beat a level is worth 2 points.
        Spending points
        Hints cost 100 points.
        Manual shuffles cost 500 points.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjongg Solitaire tile match games.
