Play Frozen Tiles online for free. Frozen Tiles is a timed 20-stage Mahjong Solitaire game where tiles which are not open are frozen in place. Clear tiles to unfreeze others, and clear each level before the timer runs out to move on to the next. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

Select Help to learn the game’s rules.
Select High Scores to view the game’s leaderboard.
Use the drop-down list on the bottom left corner of the screen to choose the game’s language.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your mouse, left click to select the stones.

    - Tap on the stones with your fingers to select them.
    - Controls and indicators
      - The game’s controls and indicators are located at the right side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:
        
        Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full-screen modes

        Game Play
        
        Levels
        
        Levels are unlocked sequentially:
        
        Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
        
        Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
        
        There are 20 levels in the game.
        
        Each time you reload the game, you have 2 options:
        
        Continue from the last level you’ve unlocked.
        
        Start a new playthrough. This will erase your previous progress.
        
        Basic rules
        
        Select 2 identical Mahjong stones to remove them from the stack.
        
        You can only pair free stones.
        
        Free stones have no stone above them and at least one side (left or right) without an adjacent stone.
        
        In this game, non-free stones are depicted as frozen in ice. As you clear the stones next to them, the ice cracks apart and the stone becomes free.
        
        Clear the entire stack before the level’s timer expires.
        
        You start with 2 minutes and 5 seconds on the clock on the first level. Later levels have a longer time limit and more stones.
        
        You fail the level if you don’t clear all the stones in time.
        
        You can try again.
        
        You can also end your playthrough. This lets you save your score in the leaderboard.
        
        Scoring
        
        Scoring is cumulative in this game. Your score from one level carries over to the next.
        
        Every pair of tiles you clear adds 100 points to your total score.
        
        After finishing a level you receive a bonus of 30 points for every second remaining on the timer.
        
        There are two ways to save your total score:
        
        Play through all 20 levels.
        
        End the playthrough after a game over.
        
        Assistance
        
        You get 3 hints and shuffles through each level.
        
        Selecting the hint button will show you any valid pair of tiles.
        
        Shuffles rearrange the stones on the stack.
        
        This is useful if you want to make more obvious pairs.
        
        However, hints and manual shuffles cost points. Use them sparingly.
        
        Hints cost 300 points.
        
        Manual shuffles cost 500 points.
        
        Target Audience
        
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire tile match games.
        
        The game has no adult themed content.
